Two US bases in Syria reportedly attacked

Damascus, Oct 19 (Prensa Latina) Syrian media reported two bomb attacks on two US enclaves in northeast and east Syria on Thursday.

According to the sources, the US military base in the Tanak gas field in Deir Ezzor province was attacked with rockets.

Meanwhile, the al-Tanf military base near Syria’s borders with Iraq and Jordan was targeted with three drone attacks.

The Pentagon troops declared a state of alert in the two enclaves without confirming whether these actions caused casualties or material losses.

These attacks come amidst an Israeli escalation against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and after the United States sent two aircraft carriers to the eastern Mediterranean, due to warnings for the conflict regionalization.

The actions against Pentagon forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces, a US-backed separatist militia, are increasing amid anger due to their negative practices.

The Damascus Government has repeatedly denounced these presences, which are described as ccupation. It assured that the US soldiers’ actions in Syria promote terrorist activities and aim to destabilize the country and plunder its wealth.
