The event hosted by the diplomatic headquarters in Damascus, began with the singing of the National Anthem of Cuba.
Then, Cuban Ambassador Luis Mariano Fernandez Rodriguez gave an explanation to those present about the celebration in Cuba of the anniversary of October 20, its meanings and the scenario that gave rise to the Cuban national anthem 155 years ago in the city of Bayamo.
Also, several audiovisuals of historical and cultural content related to the customs and traditions of Cuban culture were projected.
The program also included musical and artistic videos that reflect the Cuban culture, which brings together cultural manifestations from Europe, Africa and Asia.
There was also an exhibition of artistic works by renowned Cuban painters from different periods such as Amelia Peláez, Víctor Manuel, Wifredo Lam, Zaida del Río, Servando Cabrera, Alicia Leal, among others.
The teachers expressed their admiration for the richness and variety of Cuban culture and considered it a bridge that bridges geographical distances and brings people together.
