According to a press release from the Russian Embassy in Panama, as part of his busy agenda, Artemyev met with University of Panama Rector Eduardo Flores, and with the deputy director for Business Innovation from the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT), Paola Franco.
At both meetings, at which the visitor was accompanied by Russian Ambassador Evgueny Boykov, the parties were interested in the training of Panamanian professionals in the aerospace field.
They also favored boosting academic exchange with the Southwest State University of Russia, represented at these talks by the director of the Center for Scientific-Technical Cooperation and Innovation with Ibero-American Countries, Nikolai Frolov.
After laying a wreath at the monument to the first Soviet cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, at SENACYT, Artemyev and Boykov highlighted the historic ties that unite the two peoples.
