Millions of US citizens calls Biden to lift the blocade against Cuba

Boston, USA, Oct 13 (Prensa Latina) If President Joe Biden spoke on behalf of the people of the United States, he would lift the blockade of Cuba and eliminate the designation of Cuba as a country sponsoring terrorism, activist Cheryl LaBash affirmed.

“This demand is certified by over a hundred resolutions approved throughout the US, which represent some 55 million people, ” said LaBash, co-president of the National Network of Solidarity with Cuba (NNOC), in statements to Prensa Latina in Boston, Massachusetts, where the NNOC annual meeting will be held between Friday and Sunday.

“The world in general is denouncing the blockade,” LaBash stressed, and commented that the conference will take place just at that critical moment in which support for Cuba is growing, referring to the G77 forum and China and the UN General Assembly.

LaBash reminded that “next month, the 31st consecutive vote will take place, demanding the United States to end the blockade and stop lying about Cuba sponsoring terrorism, which intensifies the intentional pain inflicted on its people (…) Americans reject Biden’s hunger policy,” she emphasized.

“We are developing a strategy this weekend to strengthen the movement within the stomach of the Beast to make irresistible our demand to remove Cuba from the list of countries that according to Washington sponsor terrorism. #OfftheList and #unblockCuba,” she said.

Representatives of some 57 organizations of the NNOC will participate in the conference. “We have another 10 new groups that are requesting to join,” LaBash concluded.

Activista estadounidense: Si Biden escuchara al pueblo de EEUU levantaría el bloqueo a Cuba

Boston, EEUU, 13 oct (Prensa Latina) Si el presidente Joe Biden hablara en nombre del pueblo de Estados Unidos levantaría el bloqueo a Cuba y eliminaría la designación de Cuba como país patrocinador del terrorismo, afirmó la activista Cheryl LaBash.

“Así lo exigen más de un centenar de resoluciones aprobadas en todo el país que representan a unos 55 millones de personas”, dijo LaBash, copresidenta de la Red Nacional de Solidaridad con Cuba (NNOC) en declaraciones a Prensa Latina en Boston, Massachusetts, donde se celebrará la reunión anual de la NNOC a partir de este viernes hasta el domingo.

“En general el mundo está denunciando el bloqueo”, subrayó LaBash al comentar que la conferencia ocurrirá justo en ese momento crítico en que el respaldo a Cuba crece, haciendo referencia al foro G77 y China y la Asamblea General de la ONU.

Recordó LaBash que el “próximo mes será la 31 votación consecutiva en la que se pedirá a Estados Unidos que ponga fin al bloqueo y detenga la mentira de llamar a Cuba un país patrocinador del terrorismo, que intensifica el dolor intencional infligido a su pueblo (…) Los estadounidenses rechazan la política de hambre de Biden”, enfatizó.

“Estamos elaborando una estrategia este fin de semana para fortalecer el movimiento dentro del Vientre de la Bestia para hacer irresistible nuestra demanda de sacar a Cuba de la lista de países que según Washington patrocinan el terrorismo #OFFtheList y #unblockCuba”, acotó.

Representantes de unas 57 organizaciones que integran la NNOC participarán en la conferencia. “Tenemos otros 10 nuevos grupos que están solicitando su incorporación”, concluyó LaBash.
