The attack caused serious damage to planes and runways of both air terminals, which were put out of service, according to Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.
The statement pointed out that the attack on these civilian facilities worsens the situation generated in the region, after the “cruel and deadly warlike actions” against the Palestinian people, which could be classed as a violation by Israel of International Humanitarian Law.
These actions have left “thousands of dead, many wounded and the destruction of entire communities”.
The Bolivarian Republic called on the international community to step up efforts based on the international principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, which “lead to an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and throughout the region, avoiding further damage and human casualties”.
