“We have certainly debated these matters. Any such event in the world can affect the situation of energy resource consumption in one way or the other,” Novak told the Vzgliad digital newspaper.
A new worsening of the situation in the Middle East occurred on October 7th after militants of the Palestinian movement Hamas launched an attack against Israel from the Gaza Strip.
Hamas stated that the attack was a response to Israeli actions at the Al-Aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. In response, Israel announced its readiness for war and the total blockade of the Gaza Strip.
This spiral of violence can only be stopped if UN resolutions on Palestine are met, which for 75 years has been a victim of aggression from Israel, which has occupied more than 70 percent of Palestinian territory.
