On the occasion of the date, the official website of Correos de Cuba recalled its 267-year history, starting with the creation in March 1756 of the Post Office by a Royal Decree. He also recognized the work of the 20 companies, more than 800 units and around 10 thousand workers, who guarantee universal postal services throughout the national territory, among others of high social and economic impact.
The company works to consolidate excellence in its management, the promotion of e-commerce and the effective use of digital platforms and social networks for better interaction with customers.
They also seek to expand the national postal network for the transportation and distribution of mail, parcels, express courier services, press and publications, according to the website.
Cuba’s Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich, congratulated the workers through her official account on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
She urged to celebrate the anniversary with a faster and safer service and incorporating digital transformation, together with the system of the Ministry of Communications.
