On Friday, the Red House in Milan, in the Lombardy region, hosted a conversation with French academic and writer Salim Lamrani, an expert in relations between Cuba and the United States, who spoke about the US Government’s actions against Cuba.
Niurka Pico, a Cuban resident in Italy and an activist in defense of the revolutionary process in Cuba, told Prensa Latina that Cuban Consul General in Milan Marcos Hernandez, and Maria Tamburello, a representative of the Coordination of Solidarity with Cuba, attended the event.
Participants condemned the terrorist attacks on Cuba, such as the crime committed on October 6, 1976, when counterrevolutionary elements planted a bomb on an airplane. These events have not stopped, as is the case of the recent attack with Molotov cocktails on the Cuban Embassy in Washington.
“The brutal North that despises us will never succeed in destroying Cuba’s conquests, and epic achievements, despite that brutal, genocidal, extraterritorial, and oppressive economic, commercial, and financial blockade aimed at suffocating an entire people,” Pico said on behalf of the Cuban community in Italy.
