Ecuador praises Latin American business macro-roundtable in Cuba

Havana, Oct 4 (Prensa Latina) Ecuadorian Ambassador to Cuba José María Borja highlighted the Macro Business Roundtable of the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI), which will close in Cuba on Wednesday, as a regional effort to improve South-South trade.

The idea is to bring Latin American business people closer, so that they can sell and buy products made in each of the countries of the region on a reciprocal basis, he added.

Ecuador brought one of the largest delegations, made up of 25 companies, to the 10th Expoaladi, and this is a sign of interest in doing business with Cuba and other nations in the continent, the diplomat explained.

The event is taking place at Havana’s Pabexpo fair and exhibition center, and is being attended by 364 companies from 13 Latin American nations, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The event aims to contribute to boosting and diversifying intra-regional trade in order to promote the economic development of Latin America and the Caribbean.
