“I propose that the Parliamentary Conference is held every year. Therefore, we invite you to discuss in 2024 the development of our relations and the construction of a multipolar and fair world,” Volodin said at the Conference’s plenary session, which Prensa Latina attended.

The Duma speaker expressed gratitude to the participants in the event who traveled to Russia, noting that many members of the delegations spent more than 30 hours on the trip.

“Flights, connections, of course, not everything is easy. It’s even harder to get here when you’re under pressure. And you and I know how the United States knows how to do it to maintain its hegemony in the world,” he added.

Volodin highlighted the presence of Esteban Lazo, President of the Cuban National People’s Power Assembly (ANPP-Parliament), who arrived from Vietnam, thus demonstrating the spirit of tenacity and struggle of the Cuban people.

The First International Russian-Latin American Parliamentary Conference was held in Moscow from September 29 to October 2 at the initiative of the State Duma.
