The event was conceived as a space for exchange and reflections, on topics such as regional integration, the impact of new information technologies, public education, and democracies on the continent.
It will also address problems in the world of work, youth, journalism and communication in times of profound changes and concentration of the media ecosystem, networks, and platforms.
The event features the participation of former Bolivian vice president Álvaro García Linera, the Chilean sociologist Daniel Jadue, the political scientists Emir Sader, from Brazil, and Atilio Borón, from Argentina, as well as Argentine union leaders, among other figures from political and social sciences.
According to the call, the meeting proposes opening the doors to the diagnosis and understanding of the current times in Argentina and the region, with the objective of continuing to imagine new strategies to strengthen communication, quality of information, and pluralism in the construction of democracy.
The debates “The dispute over strategic knowledge: Common good or commodity?”, “Public Education on the Political and Cultural Agenda” and “Transformations in the World of Work and their Implications” are planned for today.
