“US authorities must find the whereabouts of the criminals. It is inconceivable that in one of the most protected cities in the world, acts like these go unpunished,” the congressman said after learning about the attack perpetrated on Sunday night on the Cuban diplomatic headquarters.
The legislator posted on his profile on the X network, formerly Twitter, a message from Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, who denounced this new attack on the Cuban Embassy in the US capital.
“Last night, hatred once again launched a terrorist attack on our embassy in Washington, in an act of violence and powerlessness that could have cost valuable lives. We denounce it and we expect actions from US authorities,” the head of State said.
On Sunday night, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez informed that the Cuban diplomatic headquarters was the target of a terrorist attack by an individual who threw two homemade bombs known as Molotov cocktails.
On the aforementioned platform, Rodriguez announced that there were no damages to the personnel and the details are being specified. He recalled that this is the second violent attack on Cuba’s diplomatic headquarters in Washington.
