“The Foreign Ministry of the Plurinational State of #Bolivia regrets the attack on the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Washington, the United States, on Sunday night, September 24,” the document noted.

An individual threw two Molotov cocktails at the Embassy’s building, and fortunately no member of the staff was injured, according to Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, who informed about the attack on his X account (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.

The precedent of this terrorist attack were the shots fired at the diplomatic headquarters with a war-caliber rifle on April 30, 2020 by another individual.

In 2021, the Cuban Embassy in Paris was also the target of another aggression with fire bombs that caused material damage.

Official statistics confirm that from 1959 to 2018, Cuban diplomatic objectives were the targets of 581 terrorist attacks, as a result of which 365 people were killed and 731 were wounded.

Historical documents do not include the aggression perpetrated from 2019 on.
