The system reportedly has maximum sustained winds of about 36 kilometers per hour and a minimum central pressure of one thousand seven hectoPascals.
There is consensus among current models that the system is likely to move westward over the next few days as it approaches the eastern Caribbean.
On its current track, it is expected to pass north of Barbados early to mid next week.
Although there are currently no alerts or warnings in force for the country, citizens were recommended to remain attentive to updates from the Meteorological Services in the coming days.
