The Minister will participate in the Council of Economic Sciences in Buenos Aires starting at 11:30, local time, where he will explain new measures to improve the purchasing power of employees and promote productive development.
He will also address issues related to the national situation and his projections as a presidential candidate for the “Unión por la Patria” alliance.
On October 1st, another initiative recently announced by Massa will come into force, which consists of increasing the minimum established for the collection of income tax to 1,770,000 pesos (4,849 dollars).
According to the minister, only 80,000 managers, company directors, privileged retirees or beneficiaries of high-income companies will pay the tax.
The people who must continue paying the tax are those who receive amounts greater than 15 minimum, vital and mobile salaries each month.
A bill was also approved by the Chamber of Deputies and passed to the Senate which will stop employees from making contributions for what they obtained as a result of personal work. Only those with higher gross income will do so.
