Body: The general coordinator of the event, Dr. Pedro Piñero, told Prensa Latina that the conclave is held every year in a different country, where companies, universities and research centers that work on the themes of the projects converge, to debate experiences and share best practices.
The venue awarded to Cuba, for the second time since the previous one was in 2018, is a recognition of the island’s results in research and development and this year the topic is dedicated to artificial and computational intelligence applied to projects with the assistance of 110 experts and specialists from companies and universities.
The event is organized by the Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development group (Iades) with sessions dedicated to construction and engineering projects, sports, community and local development, and cultural projects.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the integration of software systems, devices, networks and algorithmic codes that can fulfill functions such as planning, learning, reasoning, problem solving, knowledge representation, among other issues.
AI systems enable the operation of many of the technologies used for information, help to interact socially, manage data and operate devices and machines in various sectors, with enormous potential to improve the quality of education, health, research science and environmental protection.
