Russia delivers blows to Ukrainian forces in Donetsk

Moscow, Sep 18 (Prensa Latina) Elements of the Russian forces eliminated two reconnaissance groups and one assault group of the Ukrainian army near the settlement of Priyutnoe, in the south of Donetsk, the spokesman for the Eastern Grouping, Oleg Chekhov, reported.

The spokesman added on Telegram that the Eastern group prevented Ukrainian forces from rotating troops north of the village of Nikolskoye.

Chekhov also reported that Ukraine lost an electronic warfare station near Novopol, a pickup truck carrying paratroopers near Prechistovka, and an ammunition depot in Uglesborochny.

Kiev’s forces lost six mortar crews as a result of Russian artillery fire.

Russian aircraft conducted air strikes against Ukrainian forces in the areas of Novomayorsky, Urozhaynoe, Prechistovka and Vladimirovka, the spokesman said.
