Within the framework of the G77+China Summit, Nangolo Mbumba also demanded the unilateral measures against Venezuela, which constitute an obstacle to the implementation of the 2030 Development Agenda, to be lifted.

Namibia reiterates that imposing unilateral economic coercive measures does not contribute to economic and social development, Nangolo Mbumba stated.

During his speech, Mbumba said that Windhoek reiterated the pressing need to maintain the unity of the G-77+China in the spirit of multilateralism, in order to overcome dissimilar challenges of the contemporary world, including the promotion of science, technology and innovation.

Nigeria´s Vice President Kasim Shettima and Uganda´s Vice President Jessica Rose Epel Alupo, on the other hand, agreed upon the need to develop science and technology for the peoples´ welfare.

Shettima urged less developed countries to maintain the compass of cooperation as a formula for using new technologies, which, in his opinion, contribute to empower the economic and social sectors.
