Having the floor at the Summit, which brings together 80% of the world’s population, President Paul Kagame called for a greater cooperation among the peoples of the South and recalled that technology access is still unequal.
Focusing on the Summit´s main issue, President Paul Kagame considered it imperative to identify opportunities for member states´ productivity development through Artificial Intelligence (AI).
In this regard, he stressed that AI has consequences on privacy, however, we must seek in developing countries AI may increase our industries to be competitive and have a positive economic impact.
President Paul Kagame, on the other hand, praised the pressing need to close development imbalance gaps between rich and poor countries. “We strongly believe such imbalances are the cause of present migration flow crisis,” he stated.
President Paul Kagame congratulated Cuba and President Miguel Díaz-Canel for hosting the G77+China Summit.
