Kim said that “relations with the Russian Federation is the top priority for our country now” and expressed confidence that bilateral talks would help to “bring relations to a new level,” the Kremlin press service stated this Wednesday.
The North Korean leader, who arrived in Russia on an official visit at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin, is leading his country’s delegation to the bilateral talks.
Kim Jong-un arrived at the space facility by train from Vladivostok and was received by the co-chair of the Russian-DPRK Intergovernmental Commission and Natural Resources and Environment Minister Alexander Kozlov.
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the meetings between the two leaders, which will take place along with delegations and alone, will address issues of bilateral cooperation, including trade and economic ties and cultural exchanges.
Kim and Putin will also exchange views on the situation in the region and other issues of international interest.
