João Lourenço responds to the invitation made personally by his Cuban counterpart Miguel Diaz-Canel to share experiences including those of chairing the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
Cuba presides over the G77+China, so from such a post invited the heads of State and Government of the organization to hold talks in Havana on the Current Challenges of Development: the Role of Science, Technology and Innovation.
The working sessions will take place on September 15 and 16, and according to the agenda, the general debate will continue after the opening ceremony on Friday morning, to be led by Diaz-Canel, and where the UN Secretary-General (UNSG) António Guterres will also intervene.
