According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry, Venezuela expresses a call for reflection to mitigate the impacts of the climate crisis.
The meteorological phenomenon, which has lashed the northeastern part of Libya since last weekend, caused heavy rainfalls exceeding 400 milliliters, a record figure in the last four decades, according to Libya’s National Meteorological Center.
Libyan authorities, on the other hand, described the situation as “catastrophic,” especially in the city of Derna, the most-hammered by drenching rains.
