Cuban Deputy Minister Javier Aguilar, who heads the official delegation, thanked Gonsalves for his hospitality, while praising huge possibilities for increasing collaboration and trade between the two countries.

According to diplomatic sources, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was reached at the end of the meeting allowing to expand bilateral agriculture and food cooperation.

The agreement was signed by the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Saboto Caesar and the Cuban Ambassador José Manuel Leyva.
