As the senior Russian official stated this Monday in an interview for the VGTRK media group, during the parallel sessions of the VIII Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, both countries are neighbors and enjoy good relations.
Peskov added that the Russian authorities consider it a duty to establish mutually advantageous ties between Moscow and Pyongyang, and stressed that it is something that President Putin does very consistently.
“It will be a full-format visit: talks between the two delegations and then, if necessary, the leaders will continue their face-to-face communication,” he added.
The Russian authorities also plan to organize a lunch in honor of the guest, the Kremlin spokesman announced.
Previously, Moscow announced that Kim Jong Un will soon make an official visit to Russia at the invitation of Putin.
