Speaking at the weekly cabinet meeting, the official stressed that Abbas will attend the Summit, which will take place on September 16-17 in Havana.

Quoted by the official Wafa news agency, Shtayyeh said that the Palestinian leader will then travel to New York to participate in the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

In New York, he will also attend a meeting of the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee of donor countries to Palestine, the head of Government said.
