On the first day of her agenda here, Mari Machado and her accompanying delegation will pay courtesy visits to the members of the Politburo of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Vice President Bounthong Chitmany, and Xaysomphone Phomvihane, President of the National Assembly.
The lawmakers will also visit emblematic sites in the city, including the Pha That Luang Stupa, the Wat Si Saket Temple, and the Museum in Memory of former President Kaysone Phomvihane.
On Tuesday, the delegation of Cuban parliamentarians will travel to Luang Prabang province, where they will be received by Governor Khamkhan Chanthavisouk and will visit the village of Pha Nom and a traditional Huen Chun house.
On their last day in Laos on Wednesday, the lawmakers will visit the Thanaleng Dry Port and Logistics Park, among other sites, before departing for Hanoi to attend the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians.
