In an interview with Prensa Latina, Vilá considered as historic the arrival of both plays to the Broadway circuit in such turbulent times for artistic creation.

The Latea and Repertorio Español halls will host the performances during the weekends through October 1 in a series of events that, according to Vilá, will mark a unique opportunity to “take Cuban culture and idiosyncrasy to the United States and the world.

After appearing several times with the group in other states and even premiering this year the film Farándula at the Havana Film Festival in New York, the artist insisted on the interest generated by Cuba’s productions in the American people.
