The versions were made public last night when a television station reported that President Dina Boluarte had asked for the resignation of Education Minister Magnet Marquez.
The information reached the media hours after Magnet declared that the Government will challenge a law passed by Congress that provides for the permanent appointment of thousands of teachers who did not pass the required exam.
According to the press media, the president has also requested the resignation of the ministers of Transportation, Paola Lazarte; Labor, Fernando Varela; Production, Raul Perez, Justice, Daniel Maurate, and Agriculture, Nelly Paredes.
Congress has pending a motion to question Minister Paredes, filed due to the alleged lack of foresight to face the agricultural production crisis caused by price increases and climatic disorders.
