French festival includes initiative against US blockade against Cuba

Paris, Sep 5 (Prensa Latina) The Fête de L'Humanité, a traditional political-cultural festival, will include the launch of a campaign against the United States blockade against Cuba, the Communist Party of France (PCF) announced on Monday.

In a message to reporters with its preliminary program for the event, which will take place from September 15 to 17 and will be organized by the L’Humanité newspaper, the political force stated that the launch of the initiative of solidarity with Cuba will be held on Friday, September 15, in the presence of PCF National Secretary Fabien Roussel.

André Chassaigne, a communist parliamentarian and president of the France-Cuba Friendship Group at the French National Assembly, and Cuban political leaders will attend the event.

The PCF announced in April, in the context of its 39th Congress, the new campaign to support Cuba in its struggle against the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States more than six decades.

The Cuba solidarity initiative includes the contribution of French associations, trade unions, and citizens to combine political support with economic accompaniment.
