According to the Health Ministry, 65 deaths were reported, a figure also 47,7% higher than that of the previous week, which, added to the significant increase in the number of infected people.

The regions with highest increase in new cases were the northern regions of Lombardy and Veneto, both with over 2,000 infections per week, followed by Lazio, in the center, and Campania, in the south of the country, while the percentage of re-infections reported is slightly increasing 36%.

During the week, 1,659 people recovered from Covid-19, so the country´s recovery toll stands at 124,435, of whom 122,737 in in-home screening.
