As part of his visit to this country, the Iranian foreign minister met closed-door with leaders of the Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements, to whom he reaffirmed his commitment to the cause of liberating his land.
Abdollahian stressed the Jihad and Hamas leaders that the Islamic Republic will not back out from its Palestinian options and will continue to support the resistance firmly.
The Palestinian leaders, in turn, reaffirmed their commitment to the struggle as a strategic option for the people and stated that the operations in the West Bank are a priority at this stage in the fight against Israeli oupants.
Abdollahian arrived in Beirut from Damascus, Syria, to ratify his support for Lebanon’s stability and prosperity amid the worsening crisis and presidential void.
