“At 04:30 local time, this Monday, the Israel conducted an aerial attack against Aleppo from the waters of the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of the province of Latakia,” the Ministry of Defense reported.
The Ministry added that the attack caused material damages to the airport runways, putting them out of service.
This is the fourth time this year that the airport has been left inoperative due to Israeli bombardments; it was attacked on March 7th and 22nd despite the fact that the city suffered from the aftermath of the ravaging earthquake that devastated it on February 6th, making it difficult to bring in supplies by air.
This hostile action by Tel Aviv also coincides with the celebration of an international export fair, with the participation of hundreds of merchants and businessmen from seven Arab countries, who arrived in Aleppo through the airport.
