Brazil and Angola sign over a dozen agreements

Luanda, Aug 25 (Prensa Latina) In the presence of the presidents of Angola, João Lourenço, and Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva, representatives of both countries signed today 11 cooperation agreements in different sectors.

In the health sector, the agreements for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and leprosy, for the training of medical personnel, as well as another related to the pharmaceutical industry, stand out.

In the field of education, both parties agreed to move forward with the third phase of the School for All Project for Inclusive Education, while in the field of diplomatic relations they approved instruments authorizing the stay of officials from both countries.

The Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service and its Angolan counterpart, the Institute for the Support of Micro and Small Businesses, also signed an agreement, as well as a memorandum of understanding for data processing and technology transfer in public administration.

Other documents signed were related to tourism, cargo transport, agriculture, support for the Cunene Valley Development Program and defense.

Angola will always be our gateway to the African continent, assured Lula, who underlined the importance of this nation for his country and ratified the intention to support it in its efforts to diversify its economy.
