Local activists reported on Friday that those forces took a new batch of oil looted from the oil fields in northeastern Hasakeh province to northern Iraq.
The sources stated that a convoy of 60 tanker trucks laden with hundreds of tons of crude oil arrived in Iraq through the illegal Al-Walid crossing.
Before the 2011 war, Syria produced more than 380,000 barrels of crude oil per day. This figure has been reduced to only 80,000, 66,000 of which are being looted by the US troops and its Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia.
The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently informed that losses in the oil sector amounted to 105 billion dollars. An estimate of 235 workers in this sector have been killed, 46 injured, and 112 remain missing after being abducted.
