The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that elements of the Armed Forces, in cooperation with the Russian Air Force, conducted air and artillery strikes against terrorist headquarters in rural areas of Aleppo, Latakia, Hama and Idlib provinces.

According to the Ministry, the attacks were a response to repeated attacks launched by terrorist groups against civilian communities in the four aforementioned governorates.

“After a process of surveillance and monitoring, our forces destroyed headquarters, rocket launchers, five drones and ammunition depots, causing the death of several radicals, most of them leaders,” the ministry reported, which also released images of these operations.

Last Saturday, Syrian and Russian fighter-bombers carried out airstrikes at night, destroying several headquarters of terrorist groups in the governorate of Idlib; some 13 extremists were killed as a result.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced last Sunday that three unmanned aerial vehicles loaded with projectiles and explosives launched by extremists from Idlib were shot down.

Terrorist groups based in Idlib have increased their attacks against residential areas located under government control in recent months, prompting the army to respond to these actions.
