Venezuelan lawmaker Fernando Bastidas told Prensa Latina he considered that even though many migrants were unable to vote, interest in participating in the democratic process was crystal-clear.

Bastidas pointed out that although it is mandatory for people from 18 to 65 years old in Ecuador, he perceived the attendance as a civic duty of the citizens. Meanwhile, Patricia Lorenzo, representing the Association of Women Electoral Magistrates of the Americas, stood out the gender parity achieved in the candidacies, where 50% were women because of national regulations.

In general, observers acknowledged the work of the Armed Forces and the National Police, which allowed the elections to take place without violent incidents.
