In an interview with the Ethiopian News Agency (ENA), Basnur explained his efforts for a stronger relationship between the managerial sectors of the two countries and the visits of representatives from Indonesian companies interested in investing in Addis Ababa, especially in the pharmaceutical, food, and beverage industries.
“At the same time, many Ethiopian entrepreneurs are traveling to Indonesia; I am happy to see their interest and spirit to encourage economic cooperation between our two countries,” the diplomat added.
The ambassador revealed that about 80 national entrepreneurs visited the Indonesian Trade Expo last year and were the largest delegation from African countries.
Basnur confirmed that in September next year, representatives of several companies from Indonesia will travel to Ethiopia to invest and strengthen trade relations with Africa’s second most populous country.
