The SEC urged Sandra Torres, of the Unidad Nacional de la Esperanza; and Bernardo Arevalo, of the Semilla movement party, to reaffirm their commitment made last April 11.
The electoral authority pointed out that ‘within the framework of the National Agreement for an ethical, peaceful, programmatic campaign with democratic values’, of which both are signatories, ‘it is necessary to promote participation in an environment of peace, respect and inclusion’.
However, analysts and users of different communication platforms warned about the continuous accusations, disinformation and intentional black campaign by Torres and UNE.
