The news, released by Arab diplomatic sources quoted by the Al-Watan daily, assured that the meeting will take place within the framework of the Contact Committee approved by the Arab League for the implementation of the approved plan to resolve the crisis that Syria has been witnessing since 2011.
The sources revealed that the Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister, Ayman Soussan, visited Jordan the day before to discuss the preparations for this event, and assured that the mechanisms that could be adopted by the Arab countries to help Syria overcome the war will be discussed.
There is a positive atmosphere preceding the meeting and a willingness to take collective and not individual action in order to send positive messages to the West about the need to speed up the solution of the Syrian crisis and lift the sanctions that have disastrous repercussions on the Syrian people, they said.
They also denied published reports on obstacles obstructing the process of normalization of relations between Riyadh and Damascus.
The readmission of Syria to the Arab League adopted by the Arab foreign ministers in Cairo on May 9 generated a positive atmosphere and prospects for dialogue.
The head of Syrian diplomacy met last May in Amman, the Jordanian capital, with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq where a road map was agreed upon to gradually put an end to the war.
