João Batista do Nascimento Magalhães, representative of the South American country’s diplomatic headquarters here, said that the two nations share similar tastes and behaviors despite the great geographic, cultural and historical distance that separates them.
This permits the existence of great friendship between both parties, which has been increasing in view of the celebrations next year of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
This date is considered by the diplomat as an opportunity to further strengthen ties, and in this sense he highlighted the signing of collaboration agreements on tourism promotion between Brazil and the city of Jiayuguan, in the northwest of China.
In this regard, the director of the Publicity Department of this Chinese city, Wang Rongcai, highlighted its historical and cultural heritage, which ranges from the presence of the western end of the Great Wall to 52 tourist attractions which makes it famous in the country.
The occasion also provided the opportunity to taste typical dishes of Brazilian and Chinese cuisine, specifically from the northern part of China.
