Military authorities stated that it was a new effort by the Ukrainian armed forces to perpetrate a terrorist attack with drones on this Russian territory. It failed, and fortunately, there were no casualties or damage.
Earlier, Kaluga Governor Vladislav Shapsha wrote on Telegram that six drones had been brought down by air defense forces in the southwestern part of the region.
In early June, two drones fell on the M3 Ukraina highway, which runs through Kaluga Oblast and stretches from Moscow to the Russian border with Ukraine.
In early July, the Russian Defense Ministry reported a failed attack on facilities in Kaluga Oblast using S-200 anti-aircraft missiles modified to destroy ground targets.
