The meeting is set to last until Thursday and will be an opportunity to accelerate actions aimed at gender equality and strengthen the women’s sector, so that they can improve their living conditions through their own self-management.

The organizing committee stated that the event is attended by more than 150 delegations from G20 member countries, guests, and international organizations.

For the next three days, participants will debate issues related to education as a revolutionary path towards women’s empowerment, strategies to win in Equity and the Economy, as well as the creation of an association to promote women’s leadership at all levels.

They will also discuss the topics “Women and girls as creators of changes in climate resilience action” and “Digital skills to achieve the advancement of women.”

The deliberations will be reflected in the summary and provided as recommendations to the G20 leaders, who will meet on September 9 and 10 in New Delhi.

Moreover, the Asian Development Bank, UN Women and the National Institute for Public Cooperation and Child Development will hold a side event with the support of the Ministry of Women and Child Development in order to identify actions and instruments to generate fiscal policies and tools related to gender equality, the care economy and the challenge of climate change.
