“Friends of Cuba in Santa Cruz, once again express their strong support for the Cuban Revolution and the struggle against the hostile and unjust U.S. blockade”, the Cuban diplomat posted on Twitter.
In a video, protesters demonstrated against the “criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade, the illegal occupation of the Guantánamo base as well as Cuba´s inclusion on the unilateral states sponsoring terrorism (SST) list”.
Warning that “Cuba is not alone”, the solidarity movement signed a statement railing against a resolution which condemns Havana that was recently approved by EU´s most right-wingers.
“This action is clearly aimed at boycotting, hindering and eventually suspending the EU-Cuba political talks and cooperation agreement,” the statement read.
“This is yet another interference and neo-colonialist example by the European Parliament”.
The statement concluded with a call to Bolivian social organizations and popular movements to slam this new aggression and to reaffirm their solidarity with the Cuban government and people.
