“In the Donetsk area, air combat, artillery, and the actions of the units of the South troop group also eliminated two armored combat vehicles, four vehicles, two US-made M777 artillery systems, as well as Msta-B howitzers and D-20,” said this spokesperson.
Konashenkov specified the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were attacked in the areas of the Druzhba, Berdychi, Kleschéyevka, Avdéyevka, Krásnoye and Pobeda settlements in Donetsk, and an ammunition depot of the 24th Territorial Defense Brigade was destroyed.
In addition, he noted that the Russian military destroyed a retraining center and a storage and repair point for Ukrainian drones in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Also, he detailed that “the command post of the 100th Territorial Defense Brigade was attacked near the town of Yampol, in the Donetsk People’s Republic.”
Konashenkov added that operational-tactical and army aviation, missile and artillery troops of the Russian Armed Forces troop groups attacked 102 artillery units at firing positions, personnel and military equipment in 108 areas in one day.
Since February 24, 2022, Russia has been carrying out a special military operation in eastern Ukraine which, according to President Vladimir Putin, seeks to demilitarize and denazify the neighboring country and prevent attacks by the Kiev government against the civilian population of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics.
