Even in decline, Brazil’s unemployment rate is equivalent to 8.6 million people still out of labor force, the National Survey by Continuous Household Sample informed.
In the last three months, jobless rate dropped compared to Q1 2023, when it clocked in 8.8%.
According to Adriana Beringuy, coordinator of IBGE’s survey, the country’s jobless rate drop “points to the recovery of seasonal pattern of the indicator”.
