According to the Ministry, during the meeting, which strengthened relations between Russia and the DPRK, Shoigu delivered a personal message from Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kim Jong-un.
The North Korean leader expressed gratitude for the message and exchanged views with Shoigu on several national, regional, and international security issues.
The Defense Ministry added that Shoigu also took part in Thursday’s military parade on the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the 1950-1953 war.
The Russian delegation headed by Shoigu arrived in the DPRK on Wednesday. The Defense Ministry stressed that the visit would strengthen Russia-DPRK military cooperation and become a significant stage in cooperating between the two countries.
Kim Jong Un, Sergei Shogu and the delegation accompanying the Russian military officer visited the “Armaments 2023 Exhibition,” which is sponsored by the DPRK National Defense Ministry on the 70th anniversary of North Korea’s victory in the Great Patriotic Liberation War.
