Havana, Jul 24 (Prensa Latina) Cubans will receive the last days of July with a forecast of high temperatures, accompanied by little rain throughout the national territory.

In recent days the heat punished the inhabitants of the island, where through the Institute of Meteorology it was known that in 38 of the 68 stations subordinated to the scientific entity temperatures above 34 degrees Celsius (°C) were reported.

Days prior to the establishment of these temperature records for the current month, the Institute of Meteorology warned about the arrival of Saharan dust cloud to the island.

Experts explained that this phenomenon would cause a further decrease in rainfall and maintain the sensation of very hot weather.

These clouds contain iron, silica, fungi, bacteria, viruses, and various pathogenic mites, among other elements.

They can cause acute respiratory diseases, allergies and skin problems.

It is originated by storms in the Sahara desert, traveling outside the African continent.
