New groups join the representatives of the indigenous peoples in the cities of Mondaymi, San Alberto, and San Jorge of that region, who remain in the place amid privations and low temperatures to request food, seeds for crops, and materials for building houses, the newspaper stated.

The indigenous people are also asking INDI to fulfill its obligation to process the necessary identity cards to receive subsidies in the Ministry of Development and put pressure on the Ministry of Agriculture to solve the seeds.

The indigenous leaders from the Tres de Febrero district in Caaguazu accused the INDI representatives of being “liars”; they conferred “the authorities’ shortage of management” due to the slow progress of the process to comply with their demands.
