The agreements were signed by the Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil and his Serbian counterpart Ivica Dacic where both leaders addressed the suppression of visas in the ordinary passport to expand tourism, air connectivity and all spheres of diplomatic relations.

Gil explained it will help for a greater effectiveness in the connection between the two States in order to increase the flow of tourists and economic exchange.

He also stated that this is only the first beginning to achieve an increasingly fluid exchange, for which he said that they will continue with the development of the work agenda in the coming days in order to firm up new agreements in economic and commercial matters, and thus debate on other projects of mutual benefit.

As part of his stay in Belgrade, Gil met and spoke with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to whom he conveyed a message from President Nicolás Maduro.

He also spoke with Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, where both highlighted some points in common for constructing future alliances between the two countries and reaffirming the commitment to continue progressing in an equality-based cooperation.

On Twitter, Gil posted: “we´ve reaffirmed bilateral cooperation ties with the Republic of Serbia to continue strengthening the union of our peoples” as part of the multipolar world that is presently emerging, he noted.
