Military tension in the Korean peninsula reaches its worst phase due to the US intolerable provocative acts, which have been committed uninterruptedly this month, the military institution said in a statement.

The press release explained that between July 2 and 10, US aerial reconnaissance means repeatedly violated the air space over the jurisdictional economic waters of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

The KPA issued a strong and resolute warning in the light of the serious situation by sending away the US strategic reconnaissance aircraft with the departure of its air force fighters, and made it clear that the repetition of such military actions may lead to an extreme incident.

The KPA reiterated the DPRK’s pacifist will to control the current crisis and prevent an armed clash that may lead to the worst crisis on the Korean peninsula with the use of nuclear weapons.
